Local Grocer Helps Fight Hunger with Keystone Mission

Scranton, PA – This October, Keystone Mission received a generous donation from Weis Markets to support the ongoing food need at their Scranton Innovation Center for Homeless & Poverty. Meals are served opposite of other community meal resources. Keystone Mission serves warm meals twice a day Monday through Friday and dinners are served on the weekends.

“Meals are the gateway to meeting individuals experiencing homelessness and bringing them further into Keystone Mission’s programs and services. We rely on the community to help us fill the increasing need in our community.,” says Danielle O. Keith-Alexandre, CEO & Executive Director.

Weis Markets is one of Keystone Mission’s local partnerships that has provided residents with the ability to shop locally and reap the benefits of healthy living through nutritious eating. Keystone Mission is grateful for community involvement that pushes toward providing help and hope to the homeless, hungry, and hurting people in Northeast PA.
